Travellers Aid are seeking Event Volunteers to join our team for the Australian Open, Formula 1 Grand Prix, and Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
About the Role
Event Volunteer
Join the crew that turns challenging journeys into moments of care.
- Across Melbourne event hubs during the Australian Open, Formula 1 Grand Prix, and Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show
- Volunteering roles
- Flexible times and dates (minimum of three shifts)
- Limited opportunities available
What You'll Do
- Providing wheelchair support for guests requiring mobility assistance in navigating the event sites and to their modes of transport
- Ensuring guests are safe, comfortable and enjoy the event(s)
What We’re Looking For
- Volunteer Working with Children Check (free of charge)
- National Police Check and, if applicable, International Police Check
- Good physical fitness and comfort working in all weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills, pro-active approach and the ability to build rapport with guests
- Available to volunteer for various events throughout the season (Jan-Mar), minimum shift numbers apply per event
